Please consider the following inquiries and themes:


1) How do you interpret your university’s mission and its purpose?

 2) What do you know of your university’s founder(s) and what lessons do you take from their intentions and objectives in creating your institution?

3) What is your chosen field of study, what are your reasons in its choosing and how has it served to heighten awareness of your creative and independent thinking abilities?

4) How have your studies and experiences contributed to a greater understanding of self?


Should you feel that you identify with any one or all of these topics and you wish to become a candidate for a scholarship, please compose a short essay that addresses your chosen topic(s) and expresses your thoughts.

The scholarship entry deadline for the Spring 2009 semester is April 15, 2009 and the award will be offered on April 30, 2009.
