The GSEF Philosophy

Throughout a diverse global population of contemporary undergraduate, graduate and professional-school students there exists those who own an intangible asset of intuitive and emotional acumen that, when properly tapped, will create outcomes that are both personally and professionally enriching while equally important, yielding a higher altruistic value to society at large.

Although the modern post-secondary educational ecosystem is ripe with the encouragement and proliferation of intellectual freedom, these establishments have simultaneously become highly industrialized and the residuals of such often lead to standardized curriculums, restricted professional perspectives and an assembly-line mentality throughout the college experience.  Individual students can often easily and unknowingly adopt an approach not focused on specific and enriching thought construction, but on standardized process.

This is not necessarily an unconstructive goal, and is a course which delivers valuable and sufficient outcomes for most graduates.  However, it is the perspective of this institution that such a mentality leaves to risk that untapped franchise of value, and if not leveraged in those who possess it carries a discernible opportunity cost for the individual and society as a whole.

For the first time in history, Western societies subscribe to values and ideals which allow anyone to achieve virtually anything.  The past fifteen years have delivered a tremendous change to the professional landscape, and with this change comes tremendous social, intellectual and individual opportunity.  It is the philosophy of this institution that with this occasion comes an equally large responsibility, a responsibility for those with the aptitude and skill to carve out their own niche and develop themselves in a way which allows for the greatest contribution to themselves and the overall quality of life of their local and global communities.

The methodology that is employed by the Educational Foundation is not for the lot of students who seek to matriculate through college for the purpose of increasing earnings and employment potential.  Although this is a sufficient and noble path for most, the Garden Street Educational Foundation is an entity of students and benefactors who realize the acute importance of the undergraduate, graduate and professional educational experiences to shape and define individual aspirations, ambitions and capabilities to become fully-enriched, self-actualized while simultaneously constructing a life path that is innovative and egalitarian, contributing to our society’s common values and ideals of democracy, human rights, the rule of law, individual liberty, free trade and multilateralism.  The principles which enhance the quality of life of fellow inhabitants within our global commonwealth.

Specifically, these principles are:

1)
The general advocacy of human rights, civil and political; general human development
2)
The advancement of democratic principles, individual liberty, multilateralism and the application and rule of law
3)
The proliferation of entrepreneurship, free trade, and transparent markets
4)
Advances and innovations in agricultural technologies, designed to enhance yield and quality of product
